As a Community Rehabilitation Health Care Assistant you will join the Rehabilitation Service based at Warrix Avenue in North Ayrshire. 

Warrix Avenue Rehabilitation Facility will provide people livening with complex mental health needs the opportunity to experience independent living ahead of obtaining/ returning to their own home environment. The facility will actively engage and interact with community based services and resources within the persons chosen community location in order to optimise their recovery. 

The service will support people to consolidate current skills to cope with living independently as well as help them to develop new adaptive strategies to sustain their recovery and wellbeing. 

The overall aim of the facility is to empower people to manage their recovery and their symptoms in preparation for independent living with a view to reducing relapse and readmission to hospital. 

You will work as part of an inter-disciplinary team, providing person-centred, recovery focused interventions under supervision of Registered Nursing staff 

A genuine interest in working with people experiencing complex mental health needs and often physical health challenges is essential to the role and applicants should have relevant experience of working in care settings delivering high quality care. 

You will work as a key component of an inter-disciplinary team and, as such, should have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team. 

You should be willing to undertake training to develop skills and competencies as required and be able to work across Ayrshire to help support each individual back to their community. You can expect to work closely with in-patient teams as well as other community services. 

Full driving licence is required with access to a car.

Hours: Full and Part Time vacancies available working across seven days undertaking a shift system.  There is a requirement for night-shift working on a rotational basis and you must be flexible to the needs of the service.
