The Psychological Therapies Team (PTT) exists to address the psychological needs of adults residing in the Lanarkshire area. As well as providing clinical assessment, formulation and intervention, the service has responsibilities for consultation, teaching and supervision.

This role offers an opportunity to join the East Kilbride PTT at consultant level to work alongside the existing Locality Coordinator in all aspects of service delivery. As well as carrying a clinical caseload appropriate to the demands of the role, the post holder will be required to take a leadership role within the team and will have responsibility for the operational management of the EK PTT. The post-holder will be required to lead on service development and to represent the PTT in meetings at various levels.  

A key part of the role will be in relation to multidisciplinary working; the post-holder will be required to support workforce development in relation to multidisciplinary working and to work alongside the existing Locality Coordinator to embed value-based and trauma-informed practice. ​​​​​​​
