This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.
Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking to recruit a Recovery Peer Support Worker to support men’s mental health for a period of 12 months. This post will have responsibility for engaging and supporting individuals to identify, plan and achieve their own recovery goals by focusing on the potential of life-long recovery and growth. The post will be based in CIRCLE (Recovery Hub) in Renfrewshire as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing recovery focused support to individuals with a history of mental health/and or substance use issues. It is intended that this post will add to the development of a Recovery Orientated System of Care in Renfrewshire and the wider partnership. Ideally, the post holder should have lived experience of recovery from mental health and/or substance use issues and have a good understanding of the barriers to recovery. A clear understanding of stigma and discrimination and how this can impact on an individual’s recovery would also be advantageous.
