Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

Caladh Sona is a 6 bedded unit - with 5 Residential beds and 1 Community bed, which is used by the Local GP Surgery for Palliative care or Rehabilitation for community patients. 

This post is responsible for providing personal care and support to service users and to support care staff to meet the needs of older people in a residential care setting as required by legislation.

Applicants should have experience of working with people within a care setting. This is a part-time post and the hours of duty are 26.25 hours per week, excluding mealtimes, and will be as required to meet the needs of the service, predominantly for dayshift. This post is offered on a permanent contract. 

The annual leave entitlement for NHS staff is 202 hours plus 60 hours public holiday per year (pro rata) and Care staff receive enhancements for unsociable hours and public holidays

The successful candidate should hold or be willing to undertake SVQ 2 to enable registration with the SSSC as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service and any relevant training.
