An opportunity has arisen to recruit to this Band 5 position working within a busy Occupational Health & Safety Department who provide services to NHS Dumfries & Galloway Primary and Secondary care, our working partners and to a wide range of external Businesses.
The post holder will be joining a successful and experienced Occupational Health & Safety Service team and offers the potential for further career development in this specialised field of nursing.
The team currently includes 10 nurses and 1 Technicians of various banding, 5 Health & Safety Specialists and an Administrative team and each member are crucial to the daily provision of a safe effective and quality OH service.
Training and development will be tailored to the individual needs of the successful candidate and in conjunction
with the needs of the service.
This role involves travelling to various clinics throughout the region and further both in NHS and external business
settings. You must be able to work autonomously and travel independently and be flexible to the needs of the
service and team.
The hours of work are normally 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri but dependent on service and business demand and need early starting and late finishing and occasional overnight stay and significant travel may be required.
