We are inviting applications from enthusiastic individuals to become our eESS System Manager and join our eESS system team, based in the People and Culture Directorate’s HR Service Centre. eESS (Electronic Employee Support System) is a National Workforce Information System which was implemented in NHS Grampian in October 2021 . The system will be used by managers to record workforce information.

Leading the eESS system team, experience of managing a team is required. The applicant will provide support, and guidance to all users, assisting in delivery of training to new users to ensure NHS Grampian gains optimum benefit from the system

The eESS System Manager will provide expert system technical knowledge and learning and is responsible for ensuring the transactions input by end users conforms to all local, national and statutory requirements, and national terms and conditions of service in relation to pay.

Applicants should be educated to Degree level, or have equivalent experience in a similar setting of implementing a system which has significant impact across an Organisation. Proven ability to manage a diverse workload whist working to deadlines with a keen eye for attention to detail as well as maintaining high standards of accuracy is required. Good communication skills and a team player are also key requirements of this post. 

Experience of using a NHS Scotland workforce system e.g. ePayroll, or JobTrain is an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided. 

Applications are invited for this permanent full time post of 37.5 hours per week.  The current location for this role is Westholme, Woodend Hospital site however a hybrid solution of office-based and working from home to suit both parties can be developed and agreed.
