Patient Travel Assistant (Ref: 139888)

Substantive Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Band 3 - Salary Range - £23,914- £25,808 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,119 per annum


The Patient Travel Department at Shetland NHS Board requires a member of staff to join the existing Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in an extremely busy but rewarding environment, providing a service which directly benefits patients. This post will be an office based role and consideration will be given to job sharing if requested.


You will be educated to SVQ 3 level (or have equivalent experience) and have Standard Grade English and good arithmetical skills. ECDL or equivalent computer skills are also required. The ability to communicate well with people and experience of working in a Reception role or similar are also essential.  Systems training will be provided and will be specific to the requirements of the department.
