We are looking for a skilled, motivated Band 5 dietitian to join our dynamic dietetic service.
You will provide a specialist clinical service to patients across NHS Lanarkshire within a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient and domiciliary settings, and via remote (video / telephone) appointment modes.
You will also contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and be an active participant in student training.
Within this post there will be a focus on:
- Nutritional support for patients with / at risk of undernutrition
- Adults, although there may be opportunities to work with paediatric patients
The post holder will:
* demonstrate excellent team working skills and the ability to work using own initiative
• be a source of professional dietetic advice
• be an active participant in student training.
• have excellent time management skills
• have working knowledge of basic information technology
The NHS Lanarkshire Dietetic Service has a clinical remit for people of all ages across a diverse population, with areas of both high deprivation and affluence. Community and hospital based dietetic teams work closely together to provide care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. We are a dynamic service who value a culture of helpfulness, support staff development and progression and have a focus on improving clinical pathways using data and digital technology to provide high quality care to our patients.
This full time post (37.5 hours per week) is offered on a permanent basis.
A car driver with valid driving licence is essential.
Knowledge Training and/or Experience required to do the job
- Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
