SENIOR CLINICAL LECTURER IN NEUROLOGY

We wish to recruit a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Neurology, based within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) with a strong research background in Epidemiology, Population Health, Health Data Research or another areas of Health Services Research that complements existing strengths at Aberdeen.

​​​​​​​Funded jointly by the University and NHS Grampian, this substantive post is aimed at individuals at Consultant level within Neurology.  The appointee will be accorded NHS Honorary Consultant status as appropriate and will contribute to the clinical work of the NHS Department.

They will also contribute to teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has shown commitment to a clinical academic career, completed a PhD, held a fellowship, won grants from national funding bodies and had a track record of publishing high impact research. 

The University of Aberdeen has a rare combination of internationally recognised strengths in both biomedical and population-based research and robust partnerships exist between clinical academics and medical science and health service researchers and their colleagues in the healthcare professions in primary and secondary care. 

The postholder will work at Foresterhill, the second largest single site medical complex in Europe, adjacent to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Emergency Care Centre and Maternity and Children’s hospitals and containing a wealth of academic and clinical buildings. 

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
