The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital/Aberdeen Royal Infirmary would like to invite candidates to apply for a full-time one year Locum Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant post

This post will include sessions on labour ward including obstetric on call and antenatal clinics, in Benign Gynae and Outpatient Hysteroscopy. While it would be desirable if the candidate has got ATSM in Advanced Labour ward practice and Benign Gynaecology, this post is designed to allow flexibility in the proposed job plan and existing colleagues are willing to negotiate areas of responsibility to fulfil overall service needs and attempt to ensure individuals can pursue their particular special interest areas.

The Unit is the designated tertiary referral unit for the North East of Scotland and provides a full range of obstetric and gynaecological services. The unit has responsibility for approximately 6000 deliveries and 9000 gynaecology admissions per annum.

Successful candidates will join a strong team of 23 Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and academic staff.

You will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward service and academic development.
