The purpose of Public Health is to improve health and social wellbeing through taking a population wide perspective for Public Health improvement, focusing on tackling inequalities. This is achieved through the responsibility of working with individuals/families/groups/partner agencies to identify health needs, raise awareness of health and social wellbeing and through enabling/empowering people to improve their own health. Within the Health Visiting function of this role the postholder will be accountable for a caseload, a clinical expert, provide Public Health expertise, and be a key member of the integrated Primary Care team and other multi-disciplinary groups as required.
Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration • Registered Health Visitor / SPQ in Public Health Nursing • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level • Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
