We are seeking an experienced secretary to become part of our small Clinical Genetics administration team.
The North of Scotland Clinical Genetics Department has a small team based at Raigmore Hospital covering NHS Highland patients. You will provide high quality administration and secretarial support to a Genetic Counsellor and a Specialist Nurse in Raigmore and visiting Consultants, Genetic Counsellors and Specialist Nurses from the main Genetics Department in Aberdeen.
Applicants should be:
- Adaptable, flexible and have initiative to respond to changing demands and work collaboratively within the office.
- Foster good relations with team in Aberdeen.
- Good IT skills – as use remote NHS Grampian systems as well as NHS Highland systems.
- Speak to patients and their families on a daily basis being aware of sensitive nature of genetics and the importance of confidentiality. Dealing with enquiries, taking referrals and helping manage the patient journey.
Applicants should also have excellent organisational skills with significant relevant experience as well as good communication skills, initiative and enthusiasm.
