Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week CG2591 post based in Edinburgh Dental Institute.


This Consultant post offers an opportunity for the appointees to contribute to and lead aspects of the Oral Surgery service at the Edinburgh Dental Institute (EDI), alongside supporting Oral Medicine by undertaking Oral Medicine sessions within their competence and supported by Oral Medicine Consultants both within EDI and other units in Scotland.

They will work 10 PA’s with the days of work to be agreed with the Professional Lead for Oral Surgery in EDI and the Institute’s Clinical Director. This post is based at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, which is the focus for Consultant-led Oral Surgery in an environment of postgraduate education and research in the south east of Scotland. The post holder will be responsible to Professor Angus Walls, Clinical Director, Edinburgh Dental Institute and will work with colleagues within the Oral Surgery Department and in particular with the clinical lead, Nicola Cross, and the wider Dental Institute. A contribution to not only the service and its development is required, but also to the teaching delivered within the Institute
