An exciting opportunity has arisen in for an enthusiastic, innovative and adaptable Occupational Therapist in East Ayrshire. This unique opportunity for fulltime Band 6 clinician will support the development of a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing and improving outcomes.
This role is underpinned by effective multi-disciplinary working hence effective communication, organisational and time management skills are required. Previous experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team is required.

A key focus of this role will be to develop creative approaches which will further enhance practitioner knowledge and skills to create environments where children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing is supported. In addition, you will demonstrate skills which ensure all children and young people can access supports and interventions and will adapt and differentiate approaches to meet a range of young people’s needs.

You will be able to demonstrate robust skills in assessment and development of personalised treatment programmes; as well as possessing knowledge in universal approaches. You will work in a team that embraces whole person care; based on the needs of individuals, families and communities. 

You  will have an understanding of the current national and local drivers influencing change and be able to evidence continuous professional development.
This is an evolving role therefore experience in service improvement and evaluation is required. 

You will contribute to the training and development students and assistants. Clinical and Line Management supervision will be provided and we are keen to support applicants to learn and develop skills within the role.

A Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are essential requirements.

A current driving licence and access to a car are essential for community working.
This is a full time time post: 37.5 hours per week.
