The shift pattern for this post is office hours.

An experienced and technically adept individual with a knowledge of sexual health is required to lead the development and delivery of key communications, campaigns and initiatives. They will be required to create and implement a communication and marketing strategy for Sandyford. The post holder will manage all external communication channels, with a predominant focus on digital formats.

They will be responsible for communication with service users, professional stakeholders, planning, production and management of content across multiple channels on and off line, matching channels, styles and messages to audiences as appropriate.

They will also manage a range of websites and social media accounts including a video channel. They will be expected to proactively generating content monitor and evaluate activity ensuring any potential reputational issues are managed promptly. The post holder will be required to develop a
video strategy and regular video content across the platforms.

The post holder reports to the Health Improvement Lead, and will liaise on a regular basis with key senior staff in the service, HSCP and Board Communication teams alongside other public organisations and the third sector. They will also need to work with other professional staff within Sandyford and the NHS to ensure the validity and accuracy of e-information relevant to them or their service users.

The post holder will therefore need to have a high level of competency around communication, managing digital media as well as knowledge of sexual health and a sound sense of judgement around issues which may cause controversy and need managed sensitively.
