Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term (1 year, maternity leave cover), full time (40 hours per week) post based in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.


It will be based in the Hepatology Unit of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and involve both out-patient and in-patient activities. The weekly timetable separates in-patient and out-patient duties. The standard week will include two outpatient clinics, supervision of a registrar (ST) clinic, and one endoscopy list.


In-patient duties (10 weeks per year) including responsibility for acute hepatology patients in ward 205 and elsewhere in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and triage of referrals to the liver service.


The post-holder will contribute to the out-of-hours acute upper bleeding service. The post will not include general GI clinics and there is no General Internal Medicine commitment.
