Applications are invited for a clinical lead to lead the echocardiography cardiac physiology service. The successful candidate will work alongside a principal physiologist and a clinical lead for the invasive service. The echo service at ARI is currently expanding and this role would be ideal for a motivated candidate who seeks a challenge in joining the leadership team to head the echo service and to help shape the future of cardiac physiology in Aberdeenshire.
The candidate should be an experienced cardiac physiologist with proven leadership ability and advanced skills in clinical echocardiography. The successful candidate should hold BSE adult proficiency accreditation, have Professional registration and a BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), although an equivalent qualification along with suitable knowledge, training and experience will be considered.
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a busy tertiary centre, with 922 beds and a catchment area population of over 640,000. Although the post will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI), there will be occasions when the post holder will be required to work at other hospitals within NHS Grampian and NHS Orkney.
Aberdeen is a wonderful place to live and work, located on the scenic Aberdeenshire coast and only a short distance from the Grampian Mountains. The city is well served by rail, air, ferry and road links.
