An exciting opportunity has arisen for Activity Support Worker posts within this valued Service. Applications are invited from individuals with previous experience working with people with disabilities in a health or social care environment.
The post holder will deliver and facilitate meaningful activity for inpatients within the Learning Disability wards at Strathmartine Centre and Learning Disability Assessment Unit on an individual or group basis, within the hospital setting and in the community. The post holder will work to support high quality care that recognises the importance of everyday meaningful interaction or engagement has on individual health and wellbeing.
The Activity Support Worker will actively work to enhance person-centred care within the clinical areas, supporting ongoing developing practice within NHS Tayside in line with national guidance and local policy e.g. Improving Observation Practice.
