The post holder will support the implementation of nationally agreed actions and deliver local improvement projects aimed at improving patient safety and flow within the Sector. The post holder will actively contribute to the strategic direction of the Sector and will be required to work effectively as a member of the senior management team in accordance with team values, contributing to the provision of a seamless care pathway for patients. The post holder will strive to improve unscheduled care quality and performance as part of the wider GGC Unscheduled Care Programme with strategic guidance from the Board. The post holder will develop and implement performance monitoring systems, maintaining key performance indicators against the actions set out by the Scottish Government and provide regular formal reports to the senior management team. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high level of prioritisation, organisation and communication skills in order to deliver the service improvement agenda. The post holder is expected to work on their own initiative unsupervised, using problem solving skills and judgement, highlight concerns with service performance and quality through the relevant governance structure and to test potential, innovative solutions, engaging staff across all areas of the service.
