A Vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Plumber based in the Estates dept. at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness but also covering the wider Inverness community areas. Duties will include the maintenance and repair of a variety of hot water, cold water and drainage systems including Biomass Boilers, Oil Fired Boilers, thermostatic valves and associated heating system components. Installation of plumbing /heating pipework and components will also be required. Applicants should be time served in a plumbing or heating engineer discipline or be able to demonstrate extensive experience in these fields. Previous experience in a maintenance environment would be a distinct advantage.
Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, without direct supervision and must be willing to work out of normal hours as required. The post holder must also be willing to participate in an out of hours on-call rota. Travel to other sites within the NHS Highland area may also be a requirement. A driving licence is an essential requirement of the job.
The post is eligible for a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) of approx. £4,100, an on call allowance and enhanced rates for overtime and call outs in addition to the basic salary.
