Senior Nurse who has acquired specialist knowledge and experience and has the overall responsibility of managing and leading the SACT day case Nursing Team within the Haematology Day Bed Unit, Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). The Senior Charge Nurse will influence patient care through clinical practice, management, leadership, education and training, research, audit professional activities and service development, taking into account corporate and directorate objectives, the clinical governance framework and CEL 30(2012) requirements. You will provide clinical leadership and have the overall responsibility of leading and managing the SACT Nursing Team and SACT nurse-led service delivery. Have the overall responsibility of setting, implementing and evaluating standards of nursing practice coverall all aspects of SACT. Have a large degree of autonomy and decision making within this role. Lead and facilitate with overall responsibility for the development of excellence in clinical care in all aspects of SACT in a variety of settings out-patient departments. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC with a minimum of 5 years post registration experience, Two years’ experience in a clinical leadership role in the specialty. Holds or is working towards an appropriate post registration Masters Degree level qualification. As appropriate to area of clinical practice, successfully complete the agreed training pathway and clinical competencies required to fulfil the Senior Charge Nurse role. Shift pattern for this post is 4 days over 5.
