The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our friendly team within the Bignold Ward at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.

We are a busy 21 bed post- acute and rehabilitation ward.  We care for a variety of complex conditions such as stroke and neurological conditions, orthopaedics and elderly care; this has led our team to develop an advanced skill set in many different areas of nursing.

As a HCSW, you will be supported in completing further training and gaining the experience needed to deliver a high standard of evidence based patient centred care. You will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team and will play a key role in implementing rehabilitation goals. You will also be an essential team member by supplying pressure area care and personal care to vulnerable patients.

This is a part-time post working 28.75 hours per week, working a rotational day/night duty contract as required.
