Trainee Advanced CNS
Band 7 (Annex 21)
37.5 hrs per week,
Stobhill Hospital / Glasgow Royal Infirmary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a trainee Breast Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist in North Glasgow, GG&C
Applications are being invited for a Masters Level training posts and on successful completion you will become a Band 7 Advanced CNS .
As an Advanced CNS you will assess breast patients, order tests, analyse results, prescribe treatment by protocol and monitor the effectiveness of the treatment prescribed, in liaison with medical staff. The Advanced CNS is an experienced and highly educated Registered Nurse who manages the complete clinical care for their patient. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team the AD CNS will work within clinical settings, delivering specialist nursing care to patients with breast disease. You will have acquired significant post registration experience in an acute nursing care environment. You will be able to study to Masters level, and an existing qualification at Degree level would be required. We look forward to you being part of our GG&C team. The North Sector of GG&C provides specialist care to approximately 300 new breast cancers per year . You will join a highly motivated team which includes 2 Consultants , 1 Advanced CNS, 1 senior CNS and 2 band 6 CNS who are committed to improving the quality of care and improving outcomes for people with breast cancer .
