Within University Hospital Ayr we have an excellent opportunity for an organized person with kitchen and Customer Care skills and experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in large scale catering preferably within an NHS. You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
A basic food hygiene certificate is essential along with good communication skills and experience with cash handling.
Our main kitchen provides in excess of 2000 prepared and cooked meals every day including therapeutic diets to patient and staff. In addition, we cater for hospitality for meetings and functions.
Your duties include assisting with patient meal service, customer care, general catering duties a degree of flexibility is essential as you may be required to work additional hours during periods of leave. Maintain a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring data for HACCP and environmental health.
Post 1:14 hrs per week, working 7 days on / 7 days off, 4.30pm-8.30pm (No break)
Post 2: 22hrs per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8.15am-2pm (15 min unpaid break)
