We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic pharmacist to join the Medicines Management team.

Working within the Medicines Management Team, Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate, and an active member of the Vaccination Programme team, you will provide professional pharmaceutical leadership as lead pharmacist for the vaccination programme.

You will support the delivery of specialist pharmaceutical public health services in relation to vaccination and immunisation in NHSGProviding expert clinical advice on vaccines for individual patients and provision of advice to clinical and non-clinical services within NHSG.

The post holder will also lead on quality assurance of the pharmaceutical elements of the NHSG Vaccination Service, e.g., chairing Problem Assessment Group (PAG) as necessary.

You will take a lead role in the development and implementation of vaccine related clinical guidance, protocols and Patient group directions (PGDs) to ensure the responsible provision of vaccine therapy for the purpose of achieving clinically significant outcomes

You will be an excellent communicator who can build strong collaborative relationships with the wider healthcare team within NHS Grampian and across other Boards. The post holder will require to be autonomous, self-directing and continually organise their own workload and time management within the broad parameters set jointly by their line manager.

Office space will be available to the post holder within the Pharmacy & Medicines Directorate at Westholme, Woodend Hospital, Queens Road Aberdeen and the Directorate have a strong commitment to technology enabled hybrid working.

Attendance (virtual or face to face) at local and national meetings is part of the role, along with an expectation that the post holder and team will be highly visible to those in the service.
