We have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Support Officer to join the eHealth Digital Transformation Team - NHSL Headquarters, Kirklands.

The post holder will be the central contact and will contribute to the development and delivery of the eHealth Digital Programme by co-ordinating, supporting and facilitating the Team in the delivery of multiple projects.   

The post holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of robust project management systems to support the eHealth Digital Programme in line with key project management methodology, including PRINCE2, Agile and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) ensuring that the Digital Services Manager is fully appraised of progress of the overall programme, workstreams and projects, key risks and actions to mitigate those risks.  The post holder will monitor and report on multiple projects simultaneously and will be the custodian of the project documentation, ensuring version control is applied in line with project management guidance.

The post holder will have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to liaise with senior managers, external contractors, and a wide range of staff both within the Programme team and throughout NHS Lanarkshire. Good practice and processes are key in this role ensuring the team is well organised.

The following knowledge, training and/or experience is required:

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Business Administration or similar, or with equivalent business experience preferably gained in a healthcare or public sector environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2 and software (MS Project) plus in-depth knowledge of MS Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of working within a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), and with excellent organisational skills. • Ability to work as part of a team, while having the ability to prioritise own workload and use own initiative.
