Do you have experience in complex data analysis and presentation across a variety of packages, developed within health and care systems and processes?

We have an exciting opportunity in Midlothian for the right candidate to take on the role of Principal Information Analyst. This post sits within the HSCP’s Performance Team and offers a great opportunity to join us in our ambition to provide the data that support improvements in the health and wellbeing of the residents of Midlothian. 

The post holder will:

  • Lead the development of system-wide improvements to data quality, relevance and timeliness;
  • Contribute to the performance reporting programme, bringing together data from all areas, including operational management, health and social care professionals, patients and public, as well as all partner agencies within the community planning partnerships, independent and voluntary sector;
  • Provide support, advice and expertise across a diverse portfolio of work, including key objectives within Strategic and Workforce Planning. 

You will bring:

  • Curiosity and a willingness to explore complex issues;
  • Education to degree level in a numerate field and postgraduate education to SCQF level 11 or relevant experience;
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload;
  • Excellent IT and numeracy skills;
  • The ability to seek, evaluate and present information, to a wide range of staff and others;
  • Highly developed and effective communication & presentation skills.  ​​​​​​​

The post is based on a hybrid model with the base in Fairfield House in Dalkeith, Midlothian and reports to the Programme Manager for Performance.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
