Are you passionate about the use of digital systems in healthcare and enhancing safe patient care?

The Digital Ward project team have exciting opportunities, and are looking to recruit Registered Nurses at Band 5 level. Their role will be to support the implementation of Digital ward across NHS Grampian, predominately Hospital electronic prescribing and medicine administration (HEPMA).

Improvement in patient safety is the key driver for HEPMA implementation. The HEPMA system will provide a range of significant clinical, safety, informatics and management benefits to the organisation.

Ideal candidates will be:

•able to demonstrate their ability to engage with a wide range of healthcare professionals in the use of HEPMA, in place of paper medication charts, in clinical settings on a day-to-day basis.

•confident in recognising clinical activity relevant to new digital systems, whilst adhering to local policies and demonstrating sound clinical knowledge.

•resilient and able to empathise with colleagues to fully support them through a period of major change.

Successful candidates will be required to work across the NHS Grampian locality as we implement through various specialities and hospitals, providing consistency in training.

This vacancy is open to applicants who have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The post is fixed term/secondment for 24 months due to funding, shorter secondment times may be considered to cover different localities. If you are applying as a secondment opportunity you must have approval from your current manager. This post may interest staff who have taken a recent step back from clinical working, but who still match the Person specifications. This round of recruitment is particularly focussing on covering evening and weekend support shifts, with occasional full nights to support specialist service areas. Minimum 15 hr/wk.
