An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the physiotherapy team based in New Craig’s Hospital, Inverness. You will be part of the wider Mental Health and Learning disabilities team which provides physical and mental rehabilitation for the inpatients in New Craig’s Hospital and Aonach Mor, as well as providing advice to our physiotherapy colleagues throughout NHS Highland. The learning disabilities physiotherapists deliver specialist care across all of North Highland and clinical development in this area is possible as part of this role.
The postholder will be an independent practitioner managing a variety of conditions which are often complex and challenging and provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and service evaluation. The postholder will provide specialist professional advice to other disciplines, carers and agencies as part of engagement with multi-disciplinary team work.
You will also be responsible for the day to day management of junior staff as part of supervision systems, including clinical workload and supervision of under and post graduate pre-registration students as required. You will be responsible for ensuring your practice meets the needs of HCPC registration including continued professional development.
The post holder is responsible to the Physiotherapy Team Lead.
Working hours are Monday – Friday.
