A vacancy has arisen for the post of Assistant Service Manager in the Planned Care Directorate within the Acute Services Division.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic and progressive Acute Services Division. Our focus is to manage service delivery whilst implementing the quality and person centeredness agenda.  

​​​​​​​The Assistant Service Manager will be responsible to provide performance management (financial, planning and business management) support to the Service Manager, ensuring services are delivered within budget, that national and local targets are met and that income is maximised. They will direct and manage the provision of Secretarial Services and Waiting Times Team across the Directorate, make recommendations to the service, provide guidance to staff on service redesign and capacity planning for the service in line with NHS Fife’s planning and modernisation agenda and act as deputy and represent the views of the Service Manager. 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals who are seeking to deliver a challenging agenda.  You will have proven track record in leadership, excellent communication skills and show enthusiasm and commitment to develop in this role.

You will be expected to support the Service Manager to maintain and improve performance by providing clear leadership and operational management.  This involves meeting key national and local targets in respect of quality performance, waiting times and finance whilst ensuring effective management of patient pathways.
