A Registered Nurse vacancy has arisen within Lochmaben Community Hospital for a 21 hour per week permanent position.

Lochmaben Hospital is a modern 14 bedded unit situated in the village of Lochmaben within Dumfries and Galloway. Its location provides a beautiful setting enhancing the rehabilitation journey of patients who have experienced a life changing event.
We also facilitate an Out Patient’s Antibiotic Therapy Service within the Hospital, delivering Intravenous Therapy to out patients whilst ensuring staff’s clinical skills are maintained.
The delivery of care is a cohesive, multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach, Lochmaben Hospital benefits from on site Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams, offering excellent facilities including a gym, OT kitchen and therapy room, as well as outside recreational areas all of which are within our small contained unit.
We follow the Advanced Nurse Practitioner model for community hospitals, the ANP provides our onsite medical cover on a week day basis and is supported by Acute based Medics. Weekends and Out of Hours is supported by the Out of Hours Service from DGRI.
The vacancy would suit someone who is enthusiastic and keen to work within a small friendly team, who is focused on providing quality individualised person centred care whilst supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey.
The post will involve a rotational shift pattern which includes weekend and night duty working, shift rotas may be over long or short days to each individual’s preference and flexible working may be considered if the needs of the service could be maintained.
