Social Care Modern Apprentice

One year fixed term contract commencing in July 2023.

This unique Apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to work in one of our Care homes and also gain experience across a number of different care settings. You will earn a competitive salary, while securing a qualification in partnership with The UHI.
NHS Highland is an accredited Living Wage employer. The current rate is of pay is £10.90.
This apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid, it is tailored to you as an individual with learning and assessments based on your needs and aspirations. On successful completion you will be awarded an SVQ2 -HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE: SCQF 6
Our Apprenticeships include a minimum of 3 hours per week dedicated study time, during which you will attend the qualification specific taught sessions provided by the UHI and undertake private study.
To become a NHS Highland apprentice, you must:
- Be 16-24 years old
- Live in the Highlands
- National 4 English
When you have completed your apprenticeship as a minimum you will be offered a bank contract however you may be offered a permanent job in a Social Care role in NHS Highland.
