The hunt is on for a bright and ambitious, technically minded applicant to undertake a Modern Apprenticeship training post in the Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMs).  This post will be based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Our team work with patient connected medical electronics ensuring that all devices used for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of medical conditions are in full working order, regularly services and above all, safe to be used by our patients.

As the work is mainly based around the service and repair of medical equipment you will need to demonstrate both a passion and have an interest working with electronics and basic engineering. An understanding of computers, servers, networking and software packages would be useful.

At the end of the four year training programme the apprentices will have gained the appropriate technical qualifications which will enable them to apply for a Medical Engineering Technician post based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

This structured training programme will be delivered / coordinated by North East Scotland College in Aberdeen and the successful applicant will be required to undertake of the completion of an NC in Electronic Engineering (SCQF Level 6), alongside an HNC in Electronic Engineering (SCQF Level 7).

To apply for this post applicants must meet the following criteria:

National 5 qualifications at Grade A, B or C (or equivalent SCQF Level 5) in English / ESOL, Maths, a Science subject, a Technology subject and an additional subject of your choice
