The Scottish Ambulance Service is currently looking to recruit a Driver/ Handyperson based at our Dumfries Workshop on a permanent posting.
The duties of the post include the collection and delivery of vehicles and materials, along with assisting qualified maintenance staff, plus vehicle and workshop cleaning duties.
It is essential to have a full UK driving licence and to be licensed to drive vehicle categories C1 & D1.
Previous experience in a busy vehicle workshop environment, this would be desirable but is not essential.
A good knowledge of the Dumfries graphical area, with vehicle movements between SAS stations and workshops. There are also regular vehicle movements with parts collections out with the Dumfries area, this travel will be essential to the post.
The post is permanent position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
