Consultant Paediatrician
Full time post available, part time and job share applications welcome
Basic Salary: £91,474 – £121,548 pro rata + on-call supplement (5% of full time salary)

Borders General Hospital is a modern and well-equipped 284 bed DGH serving the beautiful rural Borders area in South East Scotland, approximately 36 miles from Edinburgh. Full relocation package up to Inland revenue limits available.
The Role
You would join a team of 6 consultants, specialty trainees, GP trainees and advanced paediatric and neonatal nurse practitioners. There are established links with the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, in Edinburgh, with opportunities for joint working. We have close undergraduate and postgraduate links with the University of Edinburgh Medical School and excellent on-site library facilities. The Hosptial has implemented an innovative Paediatric Hospital at Night redesign and our first call resident cover is provided by experienced Paediatric and Neonatal Nurse Advanced Practitioners supported by consultants within a minimum recall time.
Candidates must hold MRCP or equivalent certificate eg MRCPH for current trainees and must also registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practice on the Specialist Register before taking up the post or in training within 6 months of expected date of obtaining CCT or equivalent.
