NHS Highland are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to be part of our Facilities team. The post requires knowledge and experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments, Duty holder training and providing specialist technical advice in fire safety both in new build and modifications to existing buildings.
Extension knowledge of fire regulations and current regulatory requirements is essential along with a willingness to work as part of a team across an extension and challenging geography. The post will involve travelling on a weekly basis so a driving licence is essential.
Candidates who require development to meet the requirements of the post but have the basic qualifications, knowledge and aptitude are welcome as further training can be made available, if required.
The successful candidate will also be expected to assist to formulate Fire policy and represent NHS Highland nationally on Fire Safety matters. Good communication skills are essential as is a flexible approach to work and extensive knowledge of both statutory and practical Fire Safety.
