The Fife Children & Young People’s Occupational Therapy Integrated (NHS & Council) service is a quality and outcomes driven service to improve the lives of children, young people and their families. There is an opportunity for an occupational therapist to join our dynamic service. It is a community post and will be based in West and Central Fife, however there may be some requirement to do hours in other areas in Fife in response to service demand.
The post involves working in a variety of community settings including; clinics, nurseries, schools, community centers and the child’s home. You will manage a generic caseload of children aged between 0-school leaving age, presenting with a variety of difficulties and conditions impacting on participation in daily life activities. A tiered level of service provision operates and you will be involved in delivering universal, targeted and individualised interventions. The service is implementing digital health systems and telehealth opportunities to support and improve clinical delivery and outcomes.
To apply you will need a variety of experience in health and or social care settings and preferably experience of working with children, young people and families.
We are looking for a highly motivated and reflective practitioner. In addition to relevant experience you will have excellent communication skills to be able to work in partnership with children and their families negotiating care plans. You will also work closely with other agencies to facilitate the co-ordination of care / educational support plans.
The service is committed to quality improvement and performance management. Comprehensive Clinical Governance programmes and objectives exist which are reflective of local and national drivers.
You will be joining our supportive and innovative service. Reflective practice and advanced clinical reasoning are embedded within the service culture. There is an opportunity and expectation that the post holder will participate in the Flying Start programme.
5/7 working week and flexible working arrangements exist to meet individual and service needs.
