Public Dental Service NHS Borders require a qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist to be part of our existing dental team. The applicant must be able to support effective team working and deliver excellent patient care demonstrating our core values.

You should be a patient focused individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This post offers exciting opportunities to support the delivery of high quality dental services to address the current unmet dental needs of the population across NHS Borders.

The post holder will work as a Dental Hygiene Therapist within the Public Dental Service supporting Clinicians. This post sits within the Public Dental Service and will require the post holder to cover duties in other locations. The post holder should hold a recognised Dental Hygiene Therapy Qualification and be registered with the General Dental Council.

The post holder will be expected to have knowledge and experience in secondary care Dental Procedures. You will be required to work within your range of scope across other sites within NHS Borders to support the service as required, so a full driving licence is essential.

A working knowledge of R4 Clinical Plus patient management system is desirable. Experience of working within the PDS is desirable. Job share considered.

The shift pattern for this post is 37.5 hours working Monday – Friday 08.30 – 16.30
