Job Advert

This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in leading and further developing the Amputee Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Service across Forth Valley.

We would welcome applications from physiotherapists who are committed to and get excited by improving services and who love collaborating and supporting others to deliver the very best care to those we serve.

Your caseload will include patients in Forth Valley Royal Hospital and those who have returned back to their home or other community settings post amputation. It will also include patients who are established prosthetic users whose mobility has deteriorated e.g. after a fall. You will provide assessment, treatment and discharge or onward referral, and have responsibility for the supervision, education and development of other team members. You will provide specialist resource to other staff, patients & carers and will have an active involvement in clinical governance, clinical effectiveness, research and leading the implementation of national work plans. You will maintain close multidisciplinary communication links with local multidisciplinary teams but also with those at QEUH Vascular Unit and Westmarc.

We are currently going through a period of service redesign thus we would welcome applications from innovative physiotherapists who have a clinical interest in supporting those who have undergone amputation, would be excited by reviewing and developing the current service across the whole patient pathway and are flexible in their approach.

The successful candidate(s) will be HCPC registered as a physiotherapist.

NHS Forth Valley is embracing contemporary working. As and when required the post holder will be expected to participate in twilight or weekend working.
