Where We Are:

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank, South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen.  This role can be based in our Cardonald Centre . More details and centre addresses can be found within the job pack.

This Role: Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

To act as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner you will be providing a telephone triage and clinical assessment service to patients/callers presenting with mental health illness/conditions, in mental distress or acute crisis, resulting in a safe and appropriate clinical decision.

Qualifications

•         Completion of training as a first level registered nurse in mental health with a current valid registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council

•         Educated to degree level or equivalent preferable

Shift patterns available:

Hours are worked on average across an 8 week rota pattern.  Sample Rota’s are included in the job pack, however final rotas will be confirmed to successful candidates.

Cardonald -  30 or 24 hours per week  ​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​Our Enhanced Salary Package

NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 6 £37,831 - £46,100* (pro rata for part-time hours).

Competitive salary enhancements for working unsocial hours are in addition to the above basic starting salary, this means that the following hourly rates would be applicable.

  • Basic Hourly Rate of £19.35
  • Saturday / After 8pm Weekday Hourly Rate of £25.15
  • Sunday / Public Holiday Hourly Rate of £30.96


*Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service. NHS 24 shift patterns command an average uplift of 33% in addition to the basic salary shown.  Dependent on individual shift patterns, this information is indicative only, and cannot be taken as guaranteed.
