JOB TITLE: Communications Web Developer
GRADE: Band 6
LOCATION: Waverley Gate/Home Working
CONTRACT DURATION: PERMANENT
HOURS: 37.5
We are looking for a resourceful and innovative professional to help us with the online presence and development of NHS Lothian; Scotland’s second largest health board, serving a local population of 800,000 and providing specialist services nationally.
You will provide specialist support and development in web-based technology projects to maintain and develop the public and internal NHS Lothian websites.
You will have the opportunity to work on systems, websites and web-based projects covering a vast range of services.
The Web Team sits within the Communications Department and deals with almost every aspect of the organisation at all levels. The position offers home-based flexible working arrangements if desired. This is a superb opportunity for a team player with a ‘can-do’ approach. If you are comfortable working with a range of technologies and have the determination to make something work, then we’d love to hear from you.
You will need:
- Experience of working in a web development environment
- Knowledge in all aspects of the web development cycle
- A methodological approach to problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Specialist knowledge and experience specifically with: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, .NET Framework, C#, ASP, SharePoint 2013, Microsoft SQL, CAML, Powershell, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Plugin Development
