​​​​​​​An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietitian to join the Western General Hospital Dietetic Team.

The main clinical duties of this post will be to the patients within critical care. The post holder will work closely with other specialist dietetic staff to support service provision across the WGH site.

The post holder will also be required to deliver a specialist dietetic service within the Critical Care Recovery Service including clinical work providing a service to ICU stepdown patients, attending weekly CCR MDT and supporting monthly CCR clinics.

The post holder will be expected to participate in student training (A, B & C placements) and provide support to other clinical specialties as required.

We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.

We would welcome applications from experienced dietitians with an interest and experience of working in ICU who are committed to working as part of a dedicated team to deliver high quality care.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.  Working days will need to include Monday, Tuesday and Friday in order to cover the service.
