Training Programme Director for General Psychiatry - East
Hours: Part Time, 0.5 PA (2 hours per week)
Duration: Fixed Term / Secondment for 36 months*

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Scotland Deanery is responsible for postgraduate medical education. We are delighted to encourage applications for a General Psychiatry Training Programme Director, based in the East Region. This senior role will involve the leadership and delivery of postgraduate specialty training in General Psychiatry across the East Region. The role will involve close interaction with trainees and trainers and networking with other Mental Health Specialities Training Programme Directors across Scotland. Support is provided by an Associate Postgraduate Dean, and nationally via the mental health training programme management team and the Dean.
Applications are invited from trained doctors in East region of Scotland who are in a substantive NHS or University post. All applicants must confirm prior to interview that their employer would support a Service Level Agreement for this role within their job plan.
