Post: consultant respiratory physican
Base: South Sector NHS GG&C
Applications are invited for a substantive consultant post which will be based in South Sector NHS GG&C.
The consultant will be responsible with colleagues for the care of both inpatients and outpatients with a range of respiratory diseases. They will also provide care for general respiratory inpatients at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital including medical high dependency unit cover. Outpatient care including lung cancer clinic, general respiratory clinic and lung MDT will be based at New Victoria Hospital.
The post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop or continue sub-speciality research, teaching or quality improvement interests complementing the established activities within the department. The department has a strong academic background and close links to the University of Glasgow, the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research, the CRUK-Glasgow Clinical Trials Unit and the Wolfson-Wohl Translational Cancer Research Centre.
