We are looking for therapists to join our Speech and Language Therapy team for Children and Young People in North Ayrshire. We deliver services at universal, targeted and specialist levels and support the wellbeing needs of children and their families at the earliest opportunity by working in collaboration with our communities and health and education partners.

You will develop skills to autonomously manage a wide and varied caseload which may include children with complex needs, disorders of speech, language, voice, fluency, communication, and eating and drinking. You will assess, treat and manage your own caseload, maintain appropriate records, work collaboratively with the clients, carers and other agencies to enable and maximise self-management. You will supervise the work of assistants. You will form part of a dynamic team of practitioners with wide and varied expertise and skills and be supported by an experienced team lead.
As this is a development post, you will be supported to develop your clinical skills across universal, targeted and specialist levels of intervention. You will be a highly motivated independent learner and evidence good time management skills.  You will be allocated a mentor and regular support, supervision and opportunities to enhance skills will be provided in line with Turas.

This post will be converted to a Band 6 role on successful completion of agreed competencies.

You will have strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and work constructively with a range of people.

Hours: 37.50 per week but applications for part-time work will be considered.
