As a Perinatal Mental Health Nurse you will be integral to the Universal Early Years Team, working with parents who need support with their mental health and wellbeing, ensuring they get appropriate help at the earliest possible time.
You should have extensive experience of working in a community Mental Health setting, preferably with knowledge and experience of perinatal mental health and service provision. Team working skills are essential, as is the ability to work differently and creatively in this unique role.
You will be based alongside our other Perinatal Mental Health Nurses and will provide support to parents across North Ayrshire, identified by the community midwife, health visitor or family nurse. You will work collaboratively to provide early assessment and intervention to those experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems and will take forward service developments as required.
Full driving license/car driver is essential.
Hours: 22.5 per week
This is a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for 12 months.
