An exciting opportunity is available for a permanent Band 7 Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service (up to 0.8wte) This post is based in the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, working with children and young people aged 0-18 years. You will provide highly skilled, evidence-based Occupational Therapy to those referred to the service across inpatients and out-patients. The Acute OT service is part of Specialist Children’s services providing an in-reach service to the hospital. Within SCS OT Service we pride ourselves on ensuring that we are delivering a safe, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered Occupational Therapy Service which is sustainable into the future. We are looking for a forward-thinking, experienced OT who is highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team. The post holder requires to have:

A degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy,

HCPC registered

Considerable post graduate experience with a highly specialist level of relevant clinical knowledge.

Previous experience working within Paediatrics, or in an acute/hospital setting.

Evidence of ability to work as a team player with excellent communication skills and evidence of emotional intelligence are both essential for this post

Knowledge and training in the use of Quality Improvement and able to apply this methodology to improve services locally
