Lead Pharmacist AMHS (Adolescent Mental Health)and Mental Health North Sector 8a (0.8wte with the possibility of 1wte if additional funding secured).
This is an exciting opportunity combining leading clinical pharmacy input into the West of Scotland Adolescent Mental Health unit (Skye house) with leading a team of pharmacists across the North of the city to deliver the adult mental health clinical pharmacy strategy. You will have the opportunity to develop the service to the adolescent unit and become fully part of the team, using your expert knowledge to lead on the pharmaceutical care of adolescent inpatients. You will be supported by a team of pharmacists and technicians to deliver on the mental health clinical pharmacy strategy for the North of the city (Stobhill). This includes moving towards an “inreach” model whereby pharmacists will be embedded within community health teams and deliver care to patients within them and the associated inpatient team. Candidates should have significant mental health experience. An MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent is essential and we would expect candidates to have or be working towards independent prescriber status. Candidates will be expected to work towards RPS advanced practice credentialing. Previous line management experience or similar would be advantageous. You will be expected to support the on-site dispensary and will participate in the mental health on-call rota. Some travel between sites across Glasgow should be expected. The post is based at Stobhill hospital.
