Band 7 Dietitian- Adult Weight Management project work
37.5 Hours, Fixed Term or Secondment until March 2027
Do you have excellent communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with
others, a patient focused approach and a desire to provide and improve adult weight services to meet the needs of patients with or at risk of diabetes?
Then come and join our Community Dietetic Team in Grampian where you will work to scope, develop, deliver and evaluate a Tier 3 Adult Weight Management (AWM) service in Primary Care.
We are keen to look at new and transformational ways of delivering adult weight management services and the post holder will undertake the following over a 3 year period.
• To take a quality improvement approach to work in partnership with colleagues in AWM and diabetes services to scope, develop, deliver and evaluate a Tier 3 AWM service in Primary Care
• To hold a specialist patient caseload, carrying out dietary assessment, implementing treatment packages and providing ongoing review and monitoring
• To contribute to the planning, organisation and delivery of specialist weight management education and training for health care professionals, including medical and nursing staff and staff from other agencies.
You will be part of a team of community dietitians within Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire but will also work as part of the wider health and social care team to deliver services across the partnerships. This post is suitable for a hybrid model of working with options for both remote and office based working.

We participate in undergraduate student training, taking students for their B & C placement. We work with dietetic colleagues across Grampian on shared issues and initiatives such as clinical effectiveness, patient safety and patient centeredness.
Delivery of a high quality dietetic service is high on our agenda.
You must be a car driver/have access to a car and hold a full driving licence.
You will be required to work 5 of 7 days which may include weekend working as required
