An opportunity has arisen to join our progressive and friendly Radiology team within Fife. Applications are invited from candidates with previous radiology management and clinical leadership experience and an depth working knowledge of Radiology information systems, diagnostic waiting times and Radiology pathways.

The general X-ray clinical service manager post presents a good opportunity for the successful candidate to further enhance their management and leadership skills and work as part of the radiology leads team to support the delivery of radiology services, contributing to quality improvement, waiting list management and transformation of services to meet demand.

Leading the general x-ray service, you will lead with a focus to provide a high quality, professional comprehensive and pro-active service to the Radiology service users. Key responsibilities include, professional leadership, excellent communication skills, team building skills and the ability to make decisions in challenging situations.

You will be required to undertake management administrative duties, including compilation of staff rotas/ SSTS input for salaries absence management and staff governance/ Equipment maintenance / Datix investigation / Job Train for the recruiting process.

You are required to manage day-to-day workload of the team, organising workload to meet Radiology operational objectives and being integral to the induction, training and development of staff.

You will be involved in a number of planned operational adaptations, therefore we require a person who thrives in a challenging and focussed environment. It is necessary for applicants to possess knowledge and experience of diagnostic waiting times and capacity planning along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and precision in their work with key attention to detail.

You will provide leadership to the Radiology team, inspiring, influencing and motivating whilst responding and participating in the day to day operations of running the general x-ray service. You must have the ability to work flexibly, be able to work using your own initiative and enjoy leading a team.
